Public Works services provided in our community are an integral part of our citizens’ everyday lives and the support of an understanding and informed citizenry is vital to the efficient operation of public works systems and programs such as water, sewers, streets and highways, public buildings, and solid waste collection.

The health, safety and comfort of this community greatly depends on these facilities and services.  The quality and effectiveness of these facilities, as well as their planning, design, and construction are vitally dependent upon the efforts and skill of public works officials and the efficiency of the qualified and dedicated personnel who staff public works departments is materially influenced by the people’s attitude and understanding of the importance of the work they perform.

The City of Waterford encourages all citizens and civic organizations to acquaint themselves with the issues involved in providing our public works and to recognize the contributions which public works officials make every day to our health, safety, comfort, and quality of life.

Seniors for Seniors
all senior shelter cats (5+) will be adopted to senior citizens (50+) at NO COST!

$15.00 for Felines
all cat and kitten adoptions are only $15.00!

Spay/Neuter Voucher
all privately owned cats can purchase a SCATE spay/neuter voucher at the reduced cost of $40.00.  It can be redeemed at a local participating veterinarian’s office.

All cat and kitten adoptions come spayed/neutered and include age appropriate vaccinations and a microchip.

We are proud to announce the formation of a new community softball league based right here in the Waterford-Hickman area.

REGISTRATION PERIOD: May 1st – May 30th

• Maximum of 12 Teams per League
• Minimum of 6 Teams per League
• Class D ASA Softball Rules – 10 Games Guaranteed

How to Register:
Registration is done by teams only.  Individuals may contact the league for placement, but placement is not guaranteed by the league.  Each team must have a minimum roster of 10 players.  Registration fee is $40.00 per player, for a total of $400.00 per team.  If you have more than 10 players on your roster the cost is still only $400.00 per team.  However, each player added to a roster after May 30th is subject to a $40.00 late registration fee.  You can register by contacting the league via the information provided below.

Who Can Register:
Players must be at least 15 years of age to register in the league.  There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.  There is no maximum age limit.  Players can come from any city or region.  There will be two leagues formed: one for women and one for men.  Each team must select a “Manager” to lead the team and represent the team for administrative reasons.

They are planning their 10th Annual Golf Tournament at Oakdale Golf and Country Club
on Monday, June 10, 2013.

They are respectfully requesting raffle prizes, silent auction and live auction items or any donation and/or participation deemed appropriate for our Golf Tournament. Last year
they gave a total of $20,000 directly to the schools and in scholarships. They hope you will consider their request for 2013.

Each Friday night consists of a different theme where music, vendors, food, and a half-time entertainment and/or demonstration revolve around that theme.  We like to incorporate local businesses as well as bring in organizations to either perform or demonstrate what their company does during our half times; providing information and knowledge to our community that they might otherwise not be aware of.

This year the P&R Commission has requested that we have the following concert series:

• July 19th—Graffiti Night – 50’s and 60’s
• July 26th—Kid’s Night – Pop
• August 2nd—Mardi Gras Night – Blues
• August 9th—Fiesta Waterford – Tierra Caliente

These concerts are a perfect way for your business or organization to enjoy the networking and promotional benefits of a community-minded audience.  Every year our concert audience grows!  All sponsorship funds collected will cover band costs, entertainers, security, and advertisement for FIVE nights of concerts. Your sponsorship makes this event possible!

CONCERTS SPONSORSHIP INCLUDES

• An event banner will be displayed listing all sponsors in Beard park during the events.
• There will be a significant tribute in the Playbill and your name will be listed with the Contribution List. This Playbill is distributed at every Concert.

• W-2s/Taxes for 2012
• Prior month’s entire income documentation.
