The City of Waterford implements the Voucher Program every year during June as an alternative to the annual “Clean Up Day” event.
Enclosed in your May sewer bill you will find a voucher which will entitle you to $33.00 off of the dumping fees at the Gilton Resource Recovery / Transfer Facility, Inc. located at 800 S. McClure Road, Modesto, Ca. This voucher is being sent to all garbage customers residing within the City of Waterford who have garbage service. Please read the voucher carefully as it contains information on the dates it is valid and what is required at the time of use. Basically, you will need to load your unwanted items in to a vehicle, trailer, etc. and take the items to the transfer facility. If the amount is at or under the standard charge of $33.00 then you redeem your voucher and do nothing else. If the amount is over the $33.00 minimum charge, you will be responsible for that portion of the overage. The staff at the transfer facility will track the vouchers redeemed. One (1) voucher per address will be allowed.
The voucher may be used to offset the costs of dumping miscellaneous household waste. Other items such as refrigerators, televisions, computer monitors, tires, green waste, etc… are accepted by the transfer facility however, additional charges do apply. Please call the transfer station at 573-6228 if you have any questions regarding the cost to dispose of these items.
